Another year
I just happened to remember that I can use my LJ to write entries too.
It seems like I just read my friend page most of the time. It keeps me in track with the new stuff from the band I'm fond of: SMAP.
Actually, it's been 2 years ans a half since I first encountered Smap. Thinking about it, it's been quite a long time! I can't believe it myself. I feel like it's still so fresh...
Well, I kind of took a distance for half a year, and came back to it this Autumn.
Smap is something.
I use to be a big fan of Arashi. I'm still love them, but I took a step back. I don't watch there shows anymore, except from time to time, mostly on streaming.
Still, I can't say that I prefer Smap to Arashi. As a group, I think I like Arashi the best because of how they interact well, and how good friends they are. They appear really simple, and they're closer to my age, which maybe makes me sympathize with them more, or not?
Smap is different, but similar. I think Smap existence as an Idol group is extraordinary. I mean, they changed the image of boys-band! They were the first to try to be natural on TV and attract fan with their personalities.
I think that, if Arashi is so fantastic, it's partly because of Smap. Smap created a new way of being an idol. And I love that.
But Smap lacks something that Arashi has. Maybe solidarity, or group spirit, or gentleness. I believe they like each other, but... too much bullying sometimes. I think this is the way they work, scolding the member who made a mistake and all. It may be thought to protect him from being scolded by the staff or something. But sometimes it makes me sad. I'd like to see them defend each other, like Arashi do.
That's why I can't say I like Smap more than Arashi. But, I more fond of them now, because they have this fantastic and unique pair: Shingoro

Did you heard what Rob Matts said about that?
